My mum and I went to the friday afternoon sesh of vogue festival which involved dolce and gabanna, stella mccartney, and many more. It was a great and I had never seen so many fashionable girls in one place! It was rather cramped though and we had to queue for the cafe for a long time but other than that it was a successful day! I didn't originally plan to wear this but the zip of the dress I bought to wear decided to break in the morning (it would only happen to me!) so I had about 15 minutes to find something else which was this vintage animal print maxi dress with a white broderie anglaise shirt underneath. My little finger really makes me laugh in the photo above because I had a gold nail ring on and it made my finger feel really weird so I just kept poking it out without even realising haha!

Dress-River Island, Shoes-Chockershoes.co.uk
please excuse messy bedroom ^^
Yesterday three of my uni friends came to stay and we all went out last night and this is the outfit that I wore. I was originally gonna take this dress back after I ordered it from the website because it's quite unflattering but I ended up keeping it because I really like the pastel digital print contrasted with the black t-shirt sleeves. I wore these shoes for the second time and have to say they are nowhere near as comfy as the litas and aren't as easy to walk in but it won't stop me from wearing them! I attempted to put some of my hair into a 'bow' but it turned out more like bunny ears!
Literally minutes after I posted my last post about downloading the app 'retrocam' I saw that one of the blogs I followed had done a post about instagram for android so I downloaded it straight away! These are just a couple of photos I took today on it. The first one is of a nail ring I bought from ebay for only £1! I also bought two gold ones. The second image is of my friends lydia's new tattoo and one of my cats (I have 5, wasn't lying about the crazy cat lady thing!)

So despite being a little fragile from going out last night I decided to make the most of my sunday off work and go for a walk around Southsea and take lots of photos of the beautiful scenery. As being one of the few people that don't have an iphone I felt left out of the whole instagram thing so today I found and downloaded an app for my htc called 'Retro Cam' which takes photos similar to photos taken by old cameras such as polaroids, pinhole cameras and more. This is what I used to take all of these photos!
Sometimes I forget how nice it is to live by the sea.

Today I had a productive day preparing for tomorrow's Southsea Flea Market. Southsea Flea Market is an event that my mum puts together and you can guarantee to find a good bargain if you come! There is a huge range of sellers from vintage/retro clothes for both men and women, handmade children clothes, antiques, bric-a-brac, arts & crafts, jewelry, shabby chic furniture and lots more. Anyway me and my mum sell vintage clothes and today I decided to get creative and dip dye some shorts to sell tomorrow. They were actually surprisingly easy to make.
Here is a quick guide on how to DIY dip dye denim shorts:
- Cut jeans a few inches below crotch to make into shorts
- Open up scissors and using one blade, drag the blade across the shorts a few inches wide (this is for the frayed look. Don't cut. Could also use a scalpol)
- Put thick bleach and warm water into a bowl
- Dip shorts into the bowl up to where you want the dip dyed effect and leave soaking in the bowl for about 20 minutes.
- Rinse out the shorts to get excess bleach out
- Put in washing machine (this is the key ingredient for getting the frayed look)
If the shorts are popular tomorrow I'm definately gonna start doing some more, and maybe experiment with colours, studs and patches.
Another amazing thing about Southsea Flea Market is that there is homemade cake if you fancy a bite to eat and a sit down. Here is one of my mum's legendary chocolate biscuit fudge cake that she made with cute little hearts on it. It is actually addictive!
This is the poster for the Flea Market for tomorrow. I know this is late notice but there will be more markets over the next few months so pay a visit!

Blouse & Jumper- Vintage, Skirt- H&M
Just a quick photo to show off my new (well kind of) paisley jumper that I am in love with! Paisley seems to be one of my favourite prints for this season and I just love the mixture of colours in this top. I thought I'd pair it with a white lace collared shirt because I have a thing about prints contrasted with white.

After purchasing my first pair of Jeffrey Campbell Litas last year I found it extremely hard to first of all, find another pair of shoes that I liked as much as JCs and secondly to find a pair that I could actually walk in aswell as JCs. I call it 'the JC curse'. They have got to be the comfiest shoes in the world and are so easy to walk in! It took me months and months til I bought another pair of non-jeffrey campbell shoes and I've only worn them once! But as I am a skint student I can't really afford to buy another pair yet so when I came across these Jeffrey Campbell Lita Spike look-a-likes on chockersshoes.co.uk I had to buy them. Obviously the jcs are sooo much better looking but the chockers shoes are about 100 quid cheaper and are still gorgeous in my eyes so thought why the hell not?!
They arrived this morning and I had a little walk around in them and they seem pretty easy to walk in but I will update you with a comfort rating once I have worn them out :)

Skirt & Jumper- Vintage, Shoes & Sunglasses- Topshop
Dress- River Island
The first outfit is what I wore today for lunch with some of my friends and their kids and we also made the most of the supposed last bit of warmth and sunshine and took the kids to the park.
The second outfit is what I wore out for my friends 20th on Saturday. It isn't something I would usually wear as I hate bodycon but I had a last minute nightmare and couldn't find anything I liked so just grabbed this and put on my best bridget jones pants! The peplum made me a feel a little better about wearing it because it takes attention away from lumps and bumps! I wore the dress with my trusty jeffrey campbells :)
