Top- Topshop, Leggings- ASOS, Maxi Shirt/Dress- Charity Shop, Sunglasses- H&M

I feel like I should apologise for showing you an outfit with two items of clothing that are recently shown in other outfit posts, but I shouldn't really apologise because it's normal outside of the blogosphere, i think?! haha. The headpiece I am wearing is just a necklace wrapped around my bun again!

Today I would like to talk about tumblr... As most of my friends know I am a little behind the times when it comes to technology compared to most people, (had 4 channels in my whole house until a couple of months ago, always behind on the latest mobile phones- I am the only friend without an iphone right now, and I often struggle trying to work out how to turn on/maneuver through modern technology LOL) anyway, my point is I once again feel a little behind as I have noticed a lot of bloggers also have a Tumblr whereas I don't. Obviously I know some bloggers just don't want one but I do and I need some help! I look at a lot of people's tumblrs so understand the basic jist of it, but just wanted to ask a question, and this may be a really stupid question; I know that people reblog other blogs photos and you can upload ones that you've taken but what if you found a photo on the internet like just on google images, and you wanted to upload it.. what would you do? do you write the website where you got it from underneath? Cos I don't wanna pass things off as my own and get in trouble dya know what I mean? I'd really appreciate if a tumblr pro could explain the basics of it to me :)

Crochet top- Apricot, Shorts- DIY Levi's, Scarf (worn as kimono)- Vintage, Necklace-Topshop

Crochet & bell sleeves = two of my faves. Therefore I fell in love with this top as soon as I set my eyes on it!
Another fave that I will always love are kimonos and one of my friends taught me how to turn a scarf into a sleeveless kind of kimono thing, which is what I have done here! You can't really see in the photos but there are actually little flowers around it where the dip dye fades. I bought this necklace in the sale the other day which seems to be the only time I ever buy jewellery and haven't really taken it off since!

 o
Headband- DIY, Top-Topshop, Skirt- ASOS

I'm not too keen on this photo but I kinda just wanted to show another one of my headpieces. (can you tell i'm a little obsessed with them right now?) I actually made this from an old charm bracelet that had lost its elastic and was really long its probably my favourite one that I've made so far because its got so much going on.

Below is the poster for Southsea Flea Market, an event that my mum came up with and organises and I help out with. The philosophy of the event was to have a market that sells a wide range of cool stuff but at affordable prices. The main reason behind us doing this is because we noticed how ridiculously expensive vintage clothes were being sold elsewhere. We sell vintage/retro clothes for as little as £3 ranging to about £15 and then we have lots of other lovely sellers also selling clothes and jewellery, bric-a-brac, antiques, furniture, textiles, arts & crafts and lots more! If anyone lives near Portsmouth, pop down and have a browse on the 7th July :) (I will also be selling some of my home made headpieces and diy levi shorts)

Dress, Kimono & Shoes- Topshop, Bag- Urban Outfitters, Belt- Vintage

So after seeing the image of Nicole Richie sporting one of her many amazing headpieces I started a mission to create a headpiece that I could wear whilst wearing my hair up as I tend it to wear it up more often than down, but found it a little hard and gave up but then today a small miracle happened. I putting a necklace over my head to wear the standard neck way and it got caught on my bun and with this a light bulb appeared above my head and this idea came to me- simply wear necklaces around your bun! It's not exactly what I wanted but now I've figured out the simple concept hopefully I can create one more like Nicole's! Anyway, this is what I wore today. Bought this kimono at the beginning of the year for like a 10er! and the bag was in UO's summer buys sale thing from about 85 quid to about 20 i think.
p.s please excuse all the orby/dust spots in the image no idea what my camera's up to!

Shirt- Carboot, Jeans-Topshop, Shoes-Dr Martens

Just a quick one to show off this crazy new shirt that I found laying around in my house which I am guessing is one of my mum's amazing carboot finds! I spend an awful lot of time trying to think of more inventive things to wear other than jeans but often end up just resorting back to them as they're easy but with loud shirts like this I think all you need is a pair of simple black jeans. Anyway this is what I wore to work today :)

Graduate Fashion Week- 11.6.12

Northbrook College stand

Northbrook College stand

backstage with northbrook and bournemouth

Just thought I'd share some photos of GFW as I didn't have a clue what to expect before I went and thought this might enlighten some of you. The top few photos are just around the exhibitions then there are a couple from my uni's stand (Northbrook College) and then backstage when Northbrook and Bournemouth were doing dress rehearsals. I spent the day looking around the exhibitions, had a CV talk with drapers recruitment then I went and sat backstage feeling a bit useless as everyone was rushed off their feet! Then I went and prepped the theatre ready for the northbrook and bournemouth catwalk and then seated everyone when they came in. The catwalk was incredible! and I was sat behind the third years from my uni who were finding it a little overwhelming seeing all their amazing work on the catwalk! I was very proud to be part of a uni that produces such great work :)
I took some photos on my phone of the catwalk that I have instagrammed if you wanna see the collections!

Shirt- Topshop, Necklace- H&M, Leggings- ASOS, Shoes- Ebay

So here we have yet another awkward photo of me! This is an outfit I wore out for dinner with my boyfriend and I managed to get my mum to take a photo in between popping back out to my friends. I don't usually like the neon trends when they come around but this time I'm liking it especially on accessories and nail varnishes!
Is anyone else going to/working at graduate fashion week next week? I'm doing a little bit of work at the front of house on monday and just a bit nervous! Has anyone done it before?
