NEW IN: HOPE GRAND SWEATER
Until I finnally decided to get hold of one of these coveted sweaters by HOPE, they were all sold out. Online and in stores.
It was quite a bummer I must admit.
It was quite a bummer I must admit.
So, I arrived in Kristiansand some time ago and yesterday me and Mom took a little strolling round around town. Firmly decided not to buy anything we went from shop to shop, just looking.
But, there it was, my higlky coveted sweater, only one left, in my size and in wanted color.

How could I say no??And who would??
Well, I didn't, and now I am broke but definitely satisfied with my purchase.
Have a great day Loves!
More Magazine
THAT'S ME IN THE MIDDLE, I KNOW RIGHT?!
So a few weeks ago I was photographed in Brighton Laines by More Magazine's Street Style photographer which I was obviously very flattered by but after flicking through the street style part of the magazine and seeing they only put about 6 images in I thought I would never 'make the cut' haha. Me and my housemates checked the magazine the next two weeks running but I accepted the fact that I wasn't in it, UNTIL yesterday my friend tweeted me excitedly that she had found me in this week's More! EEEE this has totally made my life, i know some people will just be like ugh get over it but I was so excited I ran to the shop where my mum works and shouted it out and bought a few copies to give my family LOL. I find it so weird seeing my unphotogenic face in a magazine but I will cherish it forever and everrrr!

OF PANDA AND MEN
Photocourtsey of Vogue Italia and Net-a-porter
The sweet old panda has taken a trip from the zoo, to the cinemas (who doesn't remember Kung fu version??) to the new it print of the season. It's cute, it's amusing and it's ultimate -look-at-me print, especially when worn ' h to t' as a suit (whole suit HAS made it's comeback this year, just look at Au jour le jour).Although not what you would typicly imagine me in, the cut of that shirt and pants is sharp enough to balance this ultra-cute panda print and azure blue color.
Anyways, if I could in any way justify lace sandals when it has juts started snowing I would be the first in the line for the outrages but so obsessive heels by Jimmy Choo+Rob Pruitt at Net-a-porter.
My ultimate must have and the panda in the lining just might justify my to-get or not-to-get obsession....
Isn't it depressive to be looking forward to spring when, the first snow has just arrived...?

HAPPY MONDAY
Thank God I have Monday's off. Before I start to pack for Kristiansand I have a morning ritual of a man: breakfast, coffee and papers. I love a good fashion magazine that you can actually read, opposed to just starring at pictures (which is also nice, but we all need a change from time to time?) so ACNE PAPER and THE GENTLEWOMAN are definitely down this lane.
Fabulouse interview with Fran Lebowitz in AP and I loved the spread about Leila McAlister (a serisouly good inside info on where to eat in London).
Have a happy Monday everyone!

SKYFALL
I was at the cinema lst night and on the agenda was none other than Daniel Craig and 'Skyfall'.
I am a complete sucker for James Bond- especially since Craig joined the pack.
So here I paired thigh high split skirt with a college sweater and ankle boots. Kind of relaxed take on Saturday nights outfi, especially with freezing temperatures we have had lately.
A pop of bright yellow just perfectly balances all black combo.
Have a great Sunday, loves!
I am wearing Givenchy sweater, leather skirt by by Malene Birger, Acme boots and Marc by Marc Jacobs purse.

Jacket- Carboot, Top- Charity Shop, Trousers- Jumble Sale, Belt- Urban Outfitters, Shoes-Office
I don't particularly have an excuse for my recent absence from the blogosphere other than generally feeling like pootang and not being up for having photos taken but anyway I hate being away for too long so decided to post today's outfit which is what I wore to Southsea Flea Market. Surprisingly, I have actually worn other shoes than these but have no photographic proof LOL!
The Flea Market was a success which is very satisfying to see as my mum and I put a lot of hard work into it! Can you believe these trousers were only 10p from a jumble sale?!
I am planning on buying a new camera this week as I am so fed up with my nikon coolpix it's good for some things but I want a proper SLR. I love photography but I'm so bad with the technological side of things. I'm most probably gonna buy a Canon and have heard good things about the EOS 600D & 1100, any suggestions?

INTO THE FUTURE
So here is my today's.
As you can see neons and silver leather paired with structured coat is somewhat futuristic take on minimalism but it can be worn today, no need to wait for tomorrow.

I dug out my last years coat from H&M Trend that I bough on sale and received so many compliments for it (that even I was embarrassed). Structured cocoon coat in really perfect wool fabric to hold desired shape has been one of my bargains last year. Quite satisfied with the fact that cocoon is in this year as well.
I love the contrast of acid green and greay so this outfit was an obvious one for my part.

And I almost forgot! I also got a pair of new boots from ACNE with (touch of futurism and) structured heel, which is chunky so that I don't look like Bambi on ice (as it is snowing here) yet it's not a wedge.
So, so satisfied with them, I have to say.
Heels and sweater from ACNE, skirt from Fillipa K, coat from H&M Trend, sunnies are Ray Ban and Purse is Marc by Marc Jacobs.

YESTERDAY'S
So here is what we (me and Sara) wore yesterday. I still havn't complitely recovered from the flu, so I was all about simple, cozy, warm and oversized yesterday.
Sara wore this amazing sweater that had such an insanely amazing fit to it! If I remember it right it was a slighlty cacoon shape with crewneck in this beautiful powdery blue.
Anyways, we met up for a coffee after the pressday and had a really great time.
So hoping for a soon randez-vous back in Oslo again.
I am wearing Burberry Prorsum coat, 3.1 Phillip Lim Interasia sweater and Diesel jeans.
Sara is wearing Vila coat and vintage sweater.

SS13+ THIS IS PR
Today I took one day trip to Oslo for pressday at headquarters of THIS IS PR. Lovely location to have a press presentation at. So here are some snaps from it. First two of the talented Norwegian designer Christian Ledang and oh, yes that is latex A-line dress in bubblegum pink which is on my want to badly list, as is the blue latex skirt on the fourth picture.
Third is of shoes that are part of BikBok SS13 worn here by Sara Strand. The fourth picture is from the little styling contest where we were supposed to style an outfit, and tag it in Instagram.
So here is mine: Christina Ledang skirt and overlay, BikBok shirt, DNA heels and Inwear clutch (doubled up). PS: Don't forget to follow me on Instagram ( ila030) as you can see more of my outfits and everyday life.
The glasses underneath are filled with vitamins made of cucumber and lime. I think that the recepies are from the book ''Raw Food''- which I tend to get for myself.
Thank you fro the great time everyone!
Love,
Irina
NET-A-PORTER FEATURE!
So, here it is!
Bigmouth as I am it was so hard keeping this from everyone (only my bf knew) but now it's finally out!I am so, so , so, soooooooooooooo ridiculously grateful and flattered.
I guess when acknowledgment comes from something you admire and love it really warms ones heart.
I never dreamed of feature in Net-a-porter or their magazine, and now its here and I almost fainted when I saw it.!
And I love it!

IN THE WOODS
Once again I am throwing pictures at you - I never was much of an editor at the end.
So, this is one of the three shoots that I did when we were staying at the cabin last weekend.
And yepp, I am not leaving Isabel Marant cabin in the woods or not.
Actually, my inspiration behind the shoot and the casual style I have been sporting lately is no other that Dean Winchester- the character from the 'Supernatural' series with waxed leather jackets, toned down colors, knits and cowboy boots.
Oh yes and I realy am sorry for not posting, but I have been sick and really tired since Monday.
I am wearing two set of jackets by Isabel Marant, Diesel jeans, Jbrand cashmere knit and Donna Piu boots, sunnies are Illesteva.
afterDRK x MAISON de BONNETEIRE
Ok, how awesome aren't these?? Not to fussy, yet a perfect statement Right now I literary hate myself for not getting hold of them as they are completely sold out now.
I wouldn't be able to decide which one of them to get, but it would probably be the one in Silver and Rose Gold.If anybody knows where I can still get them, PLEASE let me know.
In the meanwhile I am lying in bed sick.
Love,
Me

OPENING OF BØLGEN&MOI
Ok, sorry for not posting in ages, but I was away fro the weekend. We stayed at my mother-in-low's cabin, but for some reason internet was out -so not so much blogging on my side.
Anyways, here is something I wore at the opening of 'Bølgen&Moi' on Thursday evening.
I am really inspired by the Dries van Noten SS13 for the time being so I am for the time being channeling my inner Dries- with plaid shirts and 3/4 skirts.

I just picked up this skirt from H&M and I have to say that this is one of the better investments I have done this season. It really works well with both sandals, flats and boots if the weather requires it .
Paired with a fur sweater or high neck polo for the chillier days.

I'll post more photos from the event later on:)

MILITARY
Now, I have always been a fan of military style, from anime down to Altuzarra a/w 12 High collared coats, shoulder marks and drama have always been down my lane. So, it is chilly outside as it usually is in October and I used the opportunity to borrow the coat from Ch (this IS actually men's coat in size 52 from H&M some seasons ago or so. ).
I wanted to make it and a bag a center piece so I paired it with faded black jeans and pointy heels, the hair in proper anime style is floating in the wind( now I just need a bad ass robot, or a space army).

VERY WISHFUL THINKING
If I had unlimited budget this would be on it's way now:Acne lizard embossed jacket, Proenza Schouler skirt, Proenza Schouler embroidered sweatshirt , Alexander Wang Kamila heels, Nancy Gonzalez purse, Burberry gloves and Voluspa Elysian Garden
RELAXING
I was totaly into military trend, partially because I always thought it looked cool, partially because my love is in the Norwegian Navy. So, today I tried to capture my outfit wearing this to-die- for military frock, however, courtesy of my remote control I got nothing.
Anyways a peak into my today- I spent the morning reading British Vogue and not so surprisingly stopped at 'best internet stores' section! Afterwards I picked my mail and guess what came in today! Can't wait to show it to you as the dress both as a top and a dress is a serious killer!

Neon Beanie- River Island, Polo neck top- Charity Shop, Checked Shirt- Brighton Laines, Easy Jeans- American Apparel via Frankie, Shoes- Office
I've been after a pair of American Apparel trousers for a long time but couldn't justify spending that much so when Frankie from Even Though I'm Skint advertised that she was selling her easy jeans on twitter I jumped straight on it and snapped them up!
Apologies for the excessive wear of these loafers- I just can't stop!
I mentioned a few posts ago that I've got a few of my housemates into blogging so here is their links:
Check them out! :)

Current NEEDS
1. High neck white midi dress yayer.co.uk
2. Leather look dungarees asos.com
3. Lace maxi cardi nastygal.com
4. Vintage fringed leather jacket Asos Marketplace
5. Jeffrey Campbell Fredas office.co.uk
There's actually a lot more things that I 'need' right now but I managed to narrow it down to the top five. I think these are all items that could be worn several times but are all rather expensive for me as I need to remember that I now have bills, rent and food to pay for :(.
I've done a few wishlist posts in the past but never really got into much detail about them so this time I thought I would tell you all a few ways of how I would style each item. Hope you enjoy!
1. I would wear this dress with the Jeffrey Campbell Fredas on a night out with a chunky gold chain. A checked flannel shirt or biker or fur jacket over it in the day with dr.martens or my beloved platform loafers finished off with a slouchy beanie.
2. LOVE these leather look dungarees. I would wear these with a variety of things such as; a burgundy jumper with a studded shirt underneath it/ checked shirt/ slogan tee.
3. I think this lace maxi cardi would look nice over either a high neck bodycon dress or a matching print two shorts and top on a night out or just thrown over jeans/leather trousers/ disco pants in the day.
4. I think this leather jacket is probably what I would wear the least although I love it dearly. I would probably dress it similar to how the girl is wearing it in the photo.
5. These Jeffrey Campbell's are next on my JC hitlist and although both of my others are black I feel if you're going to spend a lot of money on something it's best to get them in a colour you're gonna wear a lot and I would wear these babies with everything!

ISABEL MARANT SS13
Isabel Marant ss13 available at MODA OPERANDI for couple more days. Marant has done it again in form of wrapped leather skirts and floaty silk shirts with laces in front Actually this collection made me nostalgic as I recall my cousin having a similar style shirt 10 years ago or so, that I loved borrowing from her closet. it was the prettiest pink with leather laces but it was the coolest late '90s had to offer. Or was it early 2000? Anyways I have set my heart to get both of the above and the coolest belt ever made!
The best part about whole Moda Operandi shopping is that you actually split the amount in two, so everything seems so much more available!
A least in my head...

131012
Not so over- the- top happy with temperatures dropping so fast. However it gave me an excuse to dig out these old Stella Mccartney boots from some seasons ago, and with thigh highs making a little comeback this was a perfect choice. So I am still going for summerish combos while I still can, as someone had mentioned SNOW?!
Oh, well...Enough with the weather forecast.
So, I have to say that this Givenchy sweater was one of better investments we (note that it is we, not I as the sweater belongs actually to Ch) have made.
What impressed me the most is the cut and the shape of it, as it is so well made around the shoulders and the neck.

Perfect pairing with Mccartney frill skirt, as it really gives it the edge and a touch of boyish charm for a dark turn on the sporty silhouette.
My new love, for all intentions and purpose.
I am wearing Givenchy sweater, Stella Mccartney skirt, Marc by Marc Jacobs purse and Stella Mccartney thigh high boots
STYLE BIBLES of the month
It's that time again where I dedicate a post to three of my current favourite bloggers. Of course I have sooo many more than three but these are the blogs that I currently check out all the time for inspo :) hope you enjoy!
If you get ASOS magazine delivered then you may have seen Natalie as she was featured in the current issue with a couple of her friends. It's not just Natalie's amazing style and wardrobe that I admire so much but her whole life too! If you have a scroll through her blog and portfolio page you can immediately see how very creatively talented this girl is and she has already had lots of amazing opportunities with styling for ASOS which I envy so bad. and oh my god don't even get me started on how much I want her hair...
I found the gorgeous Frankie's blog via Jen's (one of my ultimate fave blogs) when she did a post similar to this. I didn't have to look far through her blog before I followed her because this girl has some serious style! She combines vintage with high street perfectly and I LOVE her 90's grunge vibes. Frankie also puts together some lethal wish lists. I say lethal because they make me want to buy it all!
I'm sure most of you are already aware of the beautiful specimen that is Jade. Jade and I went to college together and also worked in the same building (Burton & Topman) for a little while so I often found myself envious of her total babeness. Not only is Jade one of the most talented, creative people I know, her style is also always on top form! Her blog provides lots of fashion inspiration and a very entertaining read. This girl will go far!
