Jacket: Nasty Gal
Trousers: ASOS
Shoes: YRU
Glasses: Rayban borrowed from Perry

This is the second piece that the lovely Syd and Mallory sent me over, which had my name written all over it tbh with the rainbow pom poms!

I know you've seen this stripey jacket and trouser combo before but I currently have zero income after quitting my job earlier this year in preparation for Sassy World so I no longer buy clothes which is sad but it's strange because I don't really have much desire to anymore. I'm not exaggerating when I say that there are about 4 rooms in my house full to the brim with clothes so I think I can make do for now!

There's exactly one week left until my Final Major Project hand in eeek! I better get started on my sketchbooks...

Glassess: Vintage
Earrings: Claire's Accessories
Choker: Sassy World
Sheer dress: Somewhere Nowhere
Coat c/o Missguided
Jeans: Lazy Oaf
Shoes: eBay
Bag: Smoke & Mirrors

Hello Lazy Oaf jeans, again! I'm sorry but I can't help it they are just too good <3

The lovely Syd & Mallory sent me over this gorgeous faux fur heart pastel crop top and it went perfectly with the lazy oaf jeans. I felt a bit too exposed with jeans and a crop top so I layered on my sheer dress and blue coat for a pastel explosion.

I wore this out tonight for my boyfriends 23rd birthday meal at our fave restaurant- Chimichangas. I've been with Perry since he was 15 (I was 14) so it's mental to think he's a proper adult now haha.

What do you think of my Sassy World choker? This is just a sample but I also have the charms in pink glitter and holographic silver glitter as well a variety of different colour ribbons! They will be for sale when the website launches in 3 weeks :)

Sassy World

As we are getting nearer to the launch date (see bottom of page for date :D) I felt I should explain exactly what Sassy World is.

Sassy World, in its most basic form, is a vintage clothing website but it is much, much more than that. From my own dissatisfaction of not being able to find enough unique clothes that fit my colourful and playful aesthetic in the UK, I decided I would take it upon myself to try and change this. I personally have a much greater love for unique vintage items and less mass-produced items from independent brands and designers, as I like to stand out. It is from this that Sassy World was born.

Although primarily Sassy World is a clothes business, I also wanted to create a highly visual online presence (a very Sassy one) where girls can escape into a vibrant, girl power fuelled world, where they can feel inspired to have more fun with fashion.

It is my aim to not only encourage females to wear more sustainable, unique items of clothing, but to also empower them and give them the confidence to wear whatever they want.

I decided to shoot TWO mini lookbooks for the launch of Sassy World and here are some exclusive previews from each one. Once the website is launched I will post the full lookbooks on here as well :)

This one is shot and styled by me, and do you recognise the model? My bestie Maidie of course!

This lookbook was shot by my friend Max Hetherington, Styled by me, Hair & Make-up by Rebecca Herniman and my gorgeous model is Ebun Black.

Can't wait to show you the rest of the images. All of these items (and more) will be for sale when the website is launched which will be in 3 weeks today EEEEK

Pencil it in your diaries! The website link is www.sassyworld.co.uk which is password protected at the moment but will be open on the 12th April. Keep an eye out on our social media platforms for updates- the handle is @sassyworlduk or /sassyworlduk on basically everything. I will also be hosting a special Sassy World choker giveaway on the run up the launch date over on instagram. I am so excited to be following my dreams <3

Style Creator Magazine interview

I thought I would post an interview I recently did with Style Creator Magazine which is an online magazine run by two women with an aim to empower and inspire other women. I was extremely flattered to be asked and I hope you find it interesting :)

A LITTLE PRINT NEVER KILLED NOBODY

Trends come and go, but one that will always reappear is the fabulously playful maximalism. Seen on Jeremy Scott’s McDonalds emblazoned outfits at Moschino this season and seen as always on fashion’s favourite maximalists Anna Dello Russo and Susie Bubble. Sometimes more is oh so definitely more! One blogger who we feel ever so stylishly follows this adage is Helena of Bell’s fashion (http://bellsfashion.blogspot.co.uk/). Read on to find out more about our new favourite maximalist…
This article is bought to you by www.betcheslove.com and www.yourfashionbible.co.uk

Helena, we love how adventurous you are with print and colour. What tips can you give our readers wanting to experiment with bright colours and big prints?
Thank you! My advice would be just go for it, don’t overthink it too much. Wearing bright colours will make you much happier :) If you want to clash prints, pick items that have a similar colour scheme so they match as well as clash.
While I can’t say I’m a fan of flat pack furniture, I love the way you incorporate D.I.Y into your outfits. Those D.I.Y pom-poms for example, why let cheerleaders have all the fun?! What are your favourite ways to customise your outfits and what tips can you give any D.I.Y style newcomers?
My favourite ways to customise at the moment, are pom poms and faux fur trims! If you think of any DIY ideas but have no idea where to start, YouTube it! It is the land of DIY tutorials and I find so much information on there. IMG_8042
From your kimonos to your logo jumpers to your printed trousers, it is evident that you know how to rock a statement piece. For more ‘out there’ pieces, what brands and stores do you recommend?
A lot of my more out there outfits tend to be vintage or from independent designers. I would recommend brands such as, Lazy Oaf, ASOS for a variety, ShopFloorWhore and Isolated Heroes.
Who and what are your top sources of style inspiration?
I take a lot of inspiration from different eras, especially the 60s, 70s and 90s. I also love retro films and tv programmes as the styling is always inspiring.
Who and/or what are your most ‘unlikely’ sources of style inspiration?
I’m very aware of my surroundings when I’m out and about and always take inspiration from nature, architecture and anything else that draws my eye to it. You could find colour combo inspiration from a piece of graffiti on the side of a building!
It’s hypothetical decision time. Would you rather have your most lustworthy item from any of the a/w 14 shows, or unlimited spending sprees in charity shops for a year?
It didn’t take me long to decide, unlimited spending sprees in charity shops for a year. I’m excited just thinking about that!
As if perusing your outfits didn’t make for such stylish procrastination, we then discovered your portfolio (one word = fabulous). What inspires your shoots? Has styling always been a dream of yours?
It hasn’t really always been a dream to be honest, it just sort of happened after studying styling on my degree course but I’ve always enjoyed giving style advice and picking outfits for people so I guess it happened quite naturally. A lot of my shoots are inspired by shoots from different eras. Tumblr and Pinterest are the place I go to create moodboards for new shoot themes.
You’ve done some fantastic collaborations of late, we must say we very much enjoyed your guest blog for How Two Live and we look forward to your Missguided feature. If it’s any bit as good as that blue Leopard jumpsuit then we are in for a treat! What other brands and bloggers would you love to work with in the future?
I always love collaborating with How Two Live as they are my all time favourite blog and I’m such a fan girl! I’m not actually sure who else I would love to work with, whoever is happy to have me I guess!
You juggle uni and your blog already, but what is next for you?
I’m currently in the process of starting my own clothing website called Sassy World. I will be selling lots of fun and crazy vintage and I want the website to be really visual and inspiring to try and encourage people to not take fashion so seriously. I hope to then go on to stock independent brands with a similar, quirky aesthetic. It’s my dream job and I can’t wait to launch next month.

Sunglasses: Beth Fray
Sequin Crop Top: Topshop
Jeans- Lazy Oaf
Shoes- YRU via Schuh

Here we have yet another outfit from my shoot with Jess. This will probably be my final one as you have already seen my other two outfits I styled!

I wear these jeans like every other day, they are SO comfy and high waisted and the print is absolute perfection. I just cannot get enough of printed bottoms. I really feel like there isn't enough in the world to satisfy me, which is why I wish I could sew!

Say goodbye to my mermaid hair as I am having my weaves taken out tomorrow. I'm so used to having low maintenance hair and I cannot handle the knotting, hour long washing and brushing routine so I've decided enough is enough. Think I'm gonna stick to clip in's next time. Does anyone know of any good  clip in extensions brands that cater for really thick hair? I have two whole packs of hair in my head at the moment!

Kimono: Vintage
Faux fur: H&M
Crop Top: Missguided
Ripped Jeans: Vintage & DIY
Shoes: Red or Dead via Schuh
Sunglasses: Brighton Laines

Here is another outfit from my shoot with my friend Jess and this is more of a casual look for me. This is the only pair of blue denim jeans I now own and I decided to rip them to make them a bit more fun. Whenever I wear these or any kind of ripped trousers people look at me like I'm mental. I don't know what it is about ripped denim that people of all ages find so obscure haha.

Kimono- Vintage
Shoes- Youth Rise Up
Sunglasses- Beth Fray

My lovely friend Jess came down to Portsmouth yesterday to take a few photos of me in my favourite outfits for her Final Major Project magazine and has kindly let me use the photos for my blog so I have a few more to come too yay!

The mega babe Faye from Loving Youth sent me over this gorgeous pink aztec/tribally print two piece which I have teamed with a kimono that I customised and massive white flatforms. The weather was nice and sunny yesterday so it was nice to be dressed a bit more summery although I did get a few funny looks due to having my legs and toes out.

ACCIDENTLY

I know that the picture is all corny and blurry, but I really like how the outfit shows on it, with the half tucked, oversized sweater, mules and those bell sleeves. Especially as it turned out like this by accident.

Céline sweater, Ralph Lauren jeans, by Malene Birger mules and Liffner bag.
Sunglasses: Quay Eyewear via Motel
Faux Fur Lapel: H&M
Top: THIS IS A LOVE SONG c/o The Clear Agency
Paisley Skirt: Minkpink c/o Out and About
Shoes: H&M

Ever since I received this gorgeous Minkpink skirt I've been non- stop thinking about going on holiday. It has major summer vibes about it which is why I paired it with this vest and sunglasses, as the combination has put me in sunny la la land. A bit optimistic I know, as although it's sunny, the truth is it's still only 10 degrees outside.

It's a good job I spent all day inside in the warm then as I had to wait in for endless amounts of deliveries for Sassy World. Wait- I don't think I've even mentioned it on here but if you follow me on Instagram you may have seen that I have announced my upcoming clothing website name and it's called SASSY WORLD :D :D I have started it for my Final Major Project but want to carry it on full time after I leave uni too. It will be launching once I have handed in my project next month but for now you can keep up to date with all things Sassy at @sassyworlduk on Instagram and Twitter then /sassyworlduk on Pinterest, Facebook and Tumblr.

The website will be stocking lots of fun, colourful vintage as well as Sassy World's own jewellery which I started making today. I am shooting my lookbooks this week and next so keep an eye out. I'm SO excited <3

BEAUTY COUNTER

Ph:unknown- found on web

Ok, different kind of 'beauty counter' but if anybody has a phonenumber to Jared Leto's hairdresser feel free to pass forward. All the transgender taboo's broken by the fact that this guy (guy, noun: 1 [countable] (informal) - a man ) has better haircut than most of the women I have ever encountered. Including the one in the mirror. Jalouse big time, no?

WOULDN'T MIND

Those pretty B&W kitten heels from Gianvito Rossi AW14 collection. How amazing wouldn't they look with white shirt and either skinnies or a proper pair of straight-legged jeans??
Dreamy...

LONDON

Ahhh, how I miss the beautiful London sunset! It was is so grey and dark today in Bergen, that the only thing you want to do is stay in bed (don't worry not changing my job into weather-forecaster)
Although my streetstyle moves on last photo may indicate I am branching into street entertainer (no idea what I was doing there, but at least you can see that awesome shirt of mine).
But yet another typical me outfit, some embellishment, pop of color, tassel heels and the obligatory very, very ripped jeans. A propperly laidback outfit, yet staying sharp as well.At least I think so.

I am wearing Dries Van Noten coat, by Malene Birger shirt, LIffner clutch, Eddie Borgo bracelet, Laura Bohnic rings and Céline heels

LATEST OBSESSION

In Courtesy of MNZStore

The Isabel Marant Etolie qulited denim jacket. Now I have seen many versions of it, but this beige has become an obsession. Waiting for the paycheck here.

SACAI AW14

Another thing that happened is that I popped by Paris and stayed with friends for 2 days.
I couldn't miss Sacai. I wouldn't miss Sacai.
All the suffering caused by generally having pneumonia and being on a plane proved instantaneously worthy all it's toll when the first look  made it's way slowly down the runway. Upon the look number 2, I was already in ecstasy thinking 'This must be one of the best shows of the season' , when the 3rd and 4th look - and the rest of Sacai splendor- made it's way down the runway I proved to be right.
Despite the fact that were numerous shows and pretty big names to go still, Sacai delivered fantastic caveman-outerwear-galore, and even satisfied my cravings for good Aran-knits.
The slightly blunt, awed faces of the audience at the small venue on 1 place du Trocadéro proved they agreed.
It was this strange feeling of wonder, audience's mesmerized stare following closely details not reserved only for the front of the garment, but also equally complicated and mesmerizing party happening in the back, that contributed the quiet excitement filling the venue.
Chitose Abe sent many strong thoughts  down the runway, the sharp pleats in both cotton and silk, the ethnic vibe, the oversized outerwear, patchwork here and there, strong knitwear and even liberate use of color. However, instead of competing for the viewers attention, the various ideas blended naturally  fulfilling each other  in some strange sense, offering the Sacai women a wide range of outfits and moods to choose for.
Not to mention that those fur/puffer coat hybrids will be on every girl's mind for the winter to come and even next February (hello, cold NYFW), because honestly, you can't choose a chicer way to stay warm than this.

WHEN LIFE GIVES YOU LEMONS

So, my dear readers, I am back. I am so sorry for keeping you in the dark and not posting anything, but in a matter of days both my privet and business life got turned upside down and I just needed couple of days to catch my breath again. Not making a lemonade any time soon, but at least I am dealing with it.
But I am properly back now and will resume my posting on daily basis.
I wanted to flash bare legs and soft colors, with what has to be one of my favourite outfits of the season. I have had baby blue on my mind lately and just keeping the colors soft and fresh, but still mixed with some leoparrrrrrdy details made the whole look very up-to-date- feminine yet very laid back. Not to mention the fake-bob thing going on, really giving the whole look relaxed edge, but still keeping the proportions and silhouette right, huh?

I am wearing Stine Goya sweater (bought here), Céline skirt, sunnies and heels, Little Liffner clutch.
Vintage necklace as a bracelet and Thomas Sabo rings.

THIS IS A LOVE SONG GIVEAWAY

Today I have another exciting giveaway for you guys with the amazing Bali brand, THIS IS A LOVE SONG. They are launching in the UK very soon and you may have noticed I'm a fan after sporting two of their tops in some of my latest posts. I have been given this snazzy little vest to give to one of my followers, all you have to do is like their facebook page and follow my blog on bloglovin then you're in with a chance (see the bottom of this post). The giveaway ends a week today!

The top has dropped armholes and reflective shoulders- I took a photo with flash so you can see them in full steam. I think it would be perfect for a night out or party holiday, ibiza anyone?!

The top says it's a size 8 but where it's quite oversized I reckon it could fit up to a 12.

Winner will be picked at random next week and emailed, good luck :)

Shoes- Topshop
Socks- H&M
Pom Poms- Made by me

I am SO in love with this jumper. The print is the cutest and so 90s! I have a bit of a thing about stickers at the moment and keep embellishing all my uni work and sketchbooks with them so why not add them to my outfits too. I rarely wear denim these days but when I do it is has to be coloured or printed, and these pastel pink jeans are perfect for the transitional season period right now.

You will be seeing a lot more of these socks and pom poms as I have bought loads more pairs of the sheer polka dot socks in the sale and can't stop making pom poms!

My dissertation is due this week, let's all pray I make it through alive.
