SUMMER!

SO, we have had some descent temperatures lately and I am using all the opportunity I can to sport skirts as I am feeling I have lately been living in my jeans. Like this cute little neon number from Christopher Kane that has been hanging in the closet for some while now. I thought being as colourpopping and eyecatching as it is, it really didn't need anything to add to it, just a little touch of white and blue here and there. I am also wearing another BIG favourite of mine which is a grey sweater, and I have been so picky about finding the right cut and texture, but this one is simply amazing, simple enough, yet some detailing really add the right flare to it.

Now I am off to get some ice cream, my favorite is suitably enough called 'SUMMER'.

ON MY MIND- THE HERMES HOOPS

Ok, I have had my ears pierced as everyone has, but I have never used earings much. Actually, earrings have been a painful experience for me as the punched holes never seemed to grow and I have just thrown away the whole project out the window, after months of pain.

I started playing with the idea of giving it another go, when those fantastic hoops from Balmain SS13 hit the stores in february/march, but before I decided, they were already sold out and well, that was that.However, these simple beauties from Hermes are making the thought of trying to wear earrings very, very tempting again. They would be the perfect discrete accessorize against the tanned skin I am planning on getting in a few weeks time when I off to vacation...

SO, I have spent today shopping with my bro, I have to admit that there is nothing that makes me more happy than quality clothing at the descent price.So, I just bought a cute little pair of cutoffs and finally   

stumbled upon New Balance 420 in burgundy!
So, we are currently having some bad weather thing going on here in Bergen ( I wore a WOOLen sweater yesterday?!!), but some days ago it was nice enough for me to sport my favourite jackettop in suede, paired with some simple jeans, a bada** cutie in python and some bling here and there, including me showing you for the first time my engagement ring.... ;)

Weekend is just around the corner and I am looking forward to a well deserved break!

SALE BARGAINS

I will admit that this season around the sales and shopping God's have been nice to me, and I can't even begin to tell you the amount of fantastic bargains that have literatury fallen into my lap.
From stumbling over a Resort Celine mules on 50% off, to Isabel Marant Alicia tunic (that I will gladly sport on my soon-to-come vacation) and Proenza vest, I have also started to prepare my wardrobe for the fall. So, when these beauties came on 50% it was a no brainer. Perfect for fall with the lady-like silhouette, yet a wardrobe classic that will remain in my closet for years to come.

THINKING OF - BLAZER AS A DRESS

Love, love LOVE the editorial shot by Daniel Jackson for Vogue China, this photo especially featuring the long, yet sleek blazer that works as a dress. Love the idea of pairing it with flats instead of doing the whole, what I call 'french' look  (nothing wrong about it, just this is the am variant), and adding a more masculine touch to the outfit. Do I even need to mention the Celine sunnies??

YESTERDAY'S -UPDATED

I thought that this outfit deserved a little more than just over-the shoulder- picture, so I put some effort and thanks to the wonderful Karn we managed to snap some photos before the rain started pouring. Actually I wanted to show you the new, quite so urban silhouette, I have been sporting lately with the  slightly bell-shaped cut-off jeans . Love! how the python vest works with bleached denim and simple tee showing of that texture and how the unfinished hems of the jeans look next to the sharp Celine vinyl mules (despite my white-reddish legs, but hey I am off to holiday soon...!)

Those two might just be my favourite summer combo.

Happy Birthday HTL- A shrine to How Two Live

I'm gonna start by saying I know that this blog post may come across a bit keen/stalkerish/sucky uppy but  if you know me at all you will know how much love I have for Jess and Stef and I literally do not care how much I show it. I know I'm not the only either but today I wanted to dedicate a whole blog post to How Two Live as it's their first blog birthday!

I followed the girls basically from the word go after I found them through ASOS fashion finder and it's been a happy love affair ever since. I featured them in my first ever Style Bibles of the month blog post and then pretty much stalked them from then on haha.

Since HTL was born and became highly recognised in the blogosphere I have noticed how much impact they have had on a lot of us. For starters, did anyone even know of the word 'twosie' before them?! We all loved matching suits but when these sisters arrived on the scene, there seemed to be a HUGE twosie revelation and we all want everything matchy matchy which is what the girls are famous for. No longer did we care about wearing the same thing as our best friend or sister, HTL made it cool!

Personally, HTL have beyond inspired me and I can't even begin to explain how happy I am that they started blogging. They're bold and colourful looks made me feel more brave about wearing crazy outfits, my love for pink has grown out of control after seeing how good they are at rocking all pink outfits, they gave me confidence to act on my secret love for flares. There are so many blogs that I love but HTL will always be my solid favourite because I can relate so much to their style, there isn't one single outfit I don't want to wear.

I could go on forever declaring my love for Jess and Stef but I think it's pretty clear now..
