BEAUTY COUNTER

I have been wanting to update my beauty shelf for a time now and by recommendation decide to try the norwegian brand Elixir Cosmeceuticals. Now, I know the name sounds slightly nerdy, but actually that's what their motto is - no hocus-pocus, just science.  And I have heard from people that have tried them that the girls behind the brand don't promise what they can't keep.
As you probably are I was so sceptical at first, I mean it really did sound to good to actually work that way.
But some months ago I decided to give it a shot as I have been breaking out like crazy and nothing would seem to calm it down(hello hormones??). Now I was warned that my breakout will become worse before it gets better (and they really weren't exaggerating ), as the products were supposed to clean your skin from the inside.

I will admit that the first months were a struggle, my skin breaking out like I was 13 again,
but now (aprox 4 months after I started the treatment), everything is almost gone and I will admit that my tired,  stressed skin is glowing and is baby soft.
I still have a couple of zits here and there, but I feel they will also disappear very, very soon. That being said I wasn't only using acne-realted products, the AlphaBeta cleanser was supposed to clean and tighten the pores and remove dead cells (hello younger skin!) and Niactil cream reduces redness and fine lines.
I can actually vouch that those products deliver everything they promise, as long one can hold out the initial break out (and it can last for up to 2 months), but I can promise you it is completely worth it.
I will post no make up photo as soon as those last red dots have disappeared. ;)

For extra polishing I like to use  Le Weekend de Chanel just below the eye area and on my forehead and when the skin needs a little extra glow I use the Apricot scrub by Yves Rocher.

Cleanser: AlphaBeta Cleanser by Elixir
Tone: Acne pads by Elixir
Cream: Niactil 4% and Acticlear ( you can use different cream together :))
Polish: Le Weekend de Chanel

Btw the Elixir products can be also found here , but for those who don't live in Norway I really hope that they will expand soon.

COZY SLEEVES

Some days ago, running some errands  but still trying to keep a healthy dose of comfy cool. I love those sleeves (who needs gloves??) and in the true Céline manner rest of the garment is hold pretty low-key. On the other matter as a true child of the 90s grunge, acid jeans never go out of fashion, and these grey ones are amongst my favourites. A highly unorthodox choice mixing Celine with elements of grunge, but with a softer pallet in mind I think these two went perfectly together.

Céline sweater and heels, Designers Remix jeans (here  and here) and my LIttle furry Liffner which I am inseparable with :)

COUCHING

Still going for post Holiday plenty- of- space for all the comfort food, but I have really been into tomboy chic lately. So, Ch wasn't that surprised when I stole his newly obtained Acne sweatshirt and never put it back in his wardrobe, and blue and Breton stripes have been a must pop-out detail in every outfit I have been wearing lately.
A good Saturday-to-Sunday combo for us that are still in the phase of 'couching',or just in general need for cozy-chic dressing.

NY RESOLUTION NR.1

NOT the biggest on that resolution thing but there are some things I def want to try out. Like for example strong eyebrows, I have been testing them lately, and although I still haven't found the perfect products (when it comes to color and keeping them in place) I am definitely keeping the bold look.

SO...

Sales....I may or not be broke, this time around, but at the end, I got my hands on this amaze Celine piece so you will not hear me complain.
Anyway, Copenhagen has been great and while I am still tired as hell, it has been equally fun. Thus longer lengths and more relaxed silhouettes the day after (with a hint of manreppeling in the whole mixture, but hey...) I love the fact that the skirt is  almost pure wool  which makes it perfect for these nor hot-or-cold- temps- thing happening in Scandiland lately.
But I am back blogging and very ready to kick the 2014 off.

Btw for those who were wondering how not-model- hight gals can pull of midi lengths my best suggestion is that the skirt stops at the smallest part of your legs and some good heels that are open at the ankles- the whole legg (and you with it) appears longer.

I am wearing Stella McCartney jacket and creepers, Styelin Candy sweater which is on sales HERE, Céline skirt, Little Liffner clutch, rings by Maria Black, Lara Bohnic and Thomas Sabo

Happy New Year

Happy New Year everyboddyyy! 2014 is gonna be AMAZIN'. I finish my degree, continue my final major project and turn it into an exciting business, and hopefully lots of other fun things.

I've noticed lately that the blogosphere seems to be a bit repetitive and lacklustre, and after a discussion on Twitter last night it turns out I'm not the only one who thinks this. It's been a while since I've done a Style Bibles of the Month post and it's for that reason to be honest. I thought what better way to start the year than to introduce some exciting blogs that I've recently come across. I really admire people who's outfits are like works of art and these three bloggers are definitely pro examples of that. Even if someone isn't particularly my kind of style, I still appreciate their sartorial efforts and always feel inspired by all sorts of styles.

Sorry it's not as detailed as my usual style bibles post but I have months of uni work to catch up on!
