VAN LAUN

This is another one of my boyfriend's bands song called 'half way home'. If you didn't read my last post about the band they are called 'Van Laun' which is also their surname and the band consists of  two brothers, one of whom is my hubby! and they have also just got a bassist and a drummer and will hopefully start gigging in the near future! Their songs are so catchy and I hope you all like them :) Also have a look at their other songs on youtube if you have time!

Headpiece- Little Teacup, Dress- Topshop, Belt- Charity Shop, Tights- Primark, Shoes-Ebay

I'm sure you've all probably seen this headpiece by now on several blogs but I just love it. Everyone needs to take a look at Little Teacup because they have such amazing jewellery at even more amazing prices :) Be prepared to see lots more headpieces as I've just made three of my own!
My pasty skin shows how much I need a day off from uni and work as I haven't had a chance to sit in the sun yet, this week has made me really jealous of all the bums out there!

Jumper & Jacket- Vintage, Shorts- Levis & DIY, Shoes- Dr. Martens

oooh look i blend in to the background lol. I wear this jacket far too much and seeing as military is an upcoming trend i'm sure it will be worn even more! I decided to ditch the hair extensions and cut my hair to nearly one length as I really want it to grow well. A friend told me about kelp tablets which is supposed to help it grow, has anyone tried kelp or any other hair growth tablets? I've been trying to grow it for yeaarrss but everytime it gets slightly long I have to cut all the split ends off! I wish there was some kind of miracle growth treatment!
Anyway this is actually what I wore yesterday to work :)

Blouse- Vintage, Leggings- ASOS, Shoes- DIY

Sorry about the rubbish quality images! But this is what I wore out last night. It was quite a last minute decision to go out and I didn't have any outfits planned so I literally just chucked this on and then sent pics to  the best friend, boyfriend and mum (my three style advisors) to make sure I didn't have my 'groove goggles' on haha.

[Stylist- Helena Lester-Card]
These are some images from a spread we did for our uni magazine projects that I styled and I'm really pleased with the outcome. We didn't end up using the top image but I just wanted to show you the other outfit. The theme was pastels but we wanted it to look more quirky than girly.

Denim shirt- Topman, T-shirt-Charity shop, Skirt-ASOS, Shoes-Dr Martens

First outfit post in a long time! Quite a simple outfit really but just wanted to show my new tie dye skirt from ASOS which I love!! I wore this to Brighton today where me and my future housemates signed the contract for our student house. It made it all seem a little more real that i'm moving away which has made me excited but scared at the same time as I know I am going to be ridiculously home sick!

I'm really pushing the boat out today with two blog posts today! (my way of treating myself for handing in my project.) One of my latest obsessions as I think I said before is clear things, particularly shoes. I don't really know why because i'm not blessed with the prettiest of feet haha but I am going to be committing the socks and sandals crime and buy some cute lace/neon/glittery socks to go with these!
The top pair of sandals are from h&m and are only £12.99! The bottom pair take me back to my childhood when I had some of these and I thought I was wearing really high heels when actually they're like kitten heels these days! They are from Topshop (JuJu) and are £24.
P.S haven't done this before but have a look at one of my favourite blogs http://velvetcrow.blogspot.co.uk/
I follow Amreen on here, instagram and twitter (stalker alert) and have such a girl crush on her style!

So these are images from a mini photoshoot I did with my friend Paige for my magazine project at uni. For the project we were put into a team of four and had to produce group pages and two individual pages-an article and a visual page (trend page/photoshoot/illustration etc). I decided to do an accessory photoshoot with my recent gold bargains. I wanted the photos to be very bleached out and bright to focus mainly on the accessories. All accessories are from miss selfridge apart from the ponytail cuff which is from h&m.
Lately I feel like I haven't had any time to do anything other than uni work so after handing in this project today I treated myself to having a blog browsing afternoon and am hoping in a few weeks once i've finished uni for summer I can start blogging more frequently!

Once upon a time I was a huge Topshop fan and everyday an outfit would include a Topshop item (mainly thanks to 25% arcadia discount and uniform discount) however recently I've been drifting away from it mainly because I don't want to pay a lot of money for things that everyone else is wearing so nowadays I tend to just buy things like jeans or shoes from there. HOWEVER, I still finding myself checking 'new in this week' every morning and these beauties have won a little bit of my heart back. How amazing is this Topshop dress up ombre fringe cape?! I need it! However priced at £180 its extremely out of reach :( and then there's the metallic heels..oh my gad. Finally the clear jelly shoes that take me back to my childhood in the 90s and they also satisfy my love for clear things at the mo! Being the cheapest of all three 'needs' at £16 I think these are the most likely item I'll be buying!

P.s. I have now got 50 followers which I know isn't a lot to some people but I couldn't be more chuffed and grateful, so thankyou to those who follow me :) :) x

Sorry I haven't posted in a while however I have the typical blogging excuse of ridiculous amounts of uni work! But anyway these are a couple of photos of recent DIY projects I did for a shoot for our magazine project at uni. The theme of the shoot is pastels. I made the headband because most of the floral crowns I have seen aren't oversized enough and are quite expensive so I thought it would be cheaper to make one but it actually turned out to be £20 as I bought individual flowers from H&M so wasn't really cheaper at all but at least it's exactly how I wanted it! It was really easy to make because I have literally only safety pinned the flowers to a headband so that I can move the flowers about if I want. I loved the styling for Meadham Kirchoff's ss12 catwalk and that's what inspired me to make these fluffy shoes. The flatforms are from ebay and then I bought some pretty pastel feathers from a local fabric store and stuck it on the shoes!
The shoot went really well despite the bad weather and I will post the images once we have finished editing them but for now here is a little taster...
p.s how gorgeous is our model Olivia?!
