As some of you may know, I am currently in my third year of uni (help!) and our current project is building up our portfolio by entering competitions. We are all doing the same competition and then we have to find our own one to enter. I had been searching around but couldn't find much that suited me and I didn't think I had enough time to enter the company magazine one but in the end I decided to go ahead and do it. I literally organised, bought clothes and shot within 2 days but I'm pretty pleased with the outcomes.

The brief was to portray how you think Spring Summer 2014 looks to you, which can be inspired by catwalk trends you might have seen over the fashion week month. I picked up on pastels, metallics and sheer fabrics so I decided to shoot at the pastel beach huts 5 mins away from our houses. I used my muse/best friend Maidie as my model. I also wanted to incorporate beauty and hair trends I had seen for SS14 so I asked Maidie to style her hair to fit the 'mixed texture' trend with a slightly wet and slick top and messy curly ends. Also notice the glitter brows! <3

If you are chosen as a winner you're work is featured in the magazine. I highly doubt that I will be a winner but I'm just trying to do as much styling and photography work as possible to build up my portfolio. Good luck to everyone else who entered!
